Natalie Kassanga
30th October 2010

A British teenager made history on 30th of October 2010 as the first to be presented a Junior IVHES Award trophy. Then, at the tender age of 13, and, despite growing up in a home in financial hardship and never having enough of anything she wants or needs, Natalie Kassanga’s remarkable will power and strength of character can be seen in her accomplishments, not only as a singer, actor and dancer, but also as a supporter of charities and charitable fundraising, etc.

She has undertaken all these activities, alongside continuing to carry on as a capable and productive student, coping with the pressures of always meeting the challenge posed by activities. A true role model who, regardless of financial difficulties, has continued to perform and has inspired many children and deserves to be honoured to raise awareness of the likes of her.

Her hardworking mother, Sylvia, says:
” Natalie is aged 13 with big aspirations and has performed, as an actor, singer and dancer in various top West End and other shows, and her credits include the following:-

  • The Lion King as young Nala 2007-2008.
  • Oliver along side Rowan Artkinson 2008-2009.
  • Chitty Chitty Bang Bang West End Tour 2010
  • Toscar 2007
  • Winner of UK Unsigned 2007

She has performed in many charity events such as:-

  • Chamber of Commerce awards 2010
  • School Cancer event 2009
  • Red Nose day 2009
  • World picnic 2009

She has performed in many festivals and guest starring events through Milton Keynes (MK), including MK Dons stadium events, competitions and MKVibe.

Natalie has inspired youngsters to attend stage Coach theatre school.

Natalie was featured in “Discover MK 2008”. She was finalist of the “Pride of MK 2008”

and finally, “MK Top Talent 2009″

Her hard work and perseverance has meant that she has never given up in any task and finally won a full scholarship to a theatre performing school but this sadly could not go ahead.

We believe Natalie is a true role model as she has vision and will persevere to the end to reach her goal….”
